Yin Dragon continues to work solidly and was responsible for another good time at Awapuni this morning.Fast work took place on the heavy No 1 grass and on the plough (good).

Yin Dragon used the No 1 grass and, working alone, reeled off 800m in 50.7, the last 600 in 37.8. The rising nine-year-old has had three races in a new campaign and could strike top form at any time.Thursday's Hawke's Bay runners Lincoln Hills (r65 1200m) and Etoile D'Amour were paired over 800m in 51.6, the last 600 in 39 even. A Foxton trial winner last month, Etoile D'Amour was unplaced on debut, but looks a huge improver.Lincoln Bay (r65 1650m) and Platinum Edition covered 800m in 54.8, the last 600 in 39.7, while King Cougar and Son Of Surf came up with 53.5 and 40 even. On the plough, an Iffraaj filly and a Pentire gelding, both with Lisa Latta, skipped over 800m in 51.1, the last 600 in 36.6, while That's Funny and Garment matched strides over 1000m in 1.7.6, the last 600 in 37.6.Cog Knish did nice work on her own when running 1000m in 1.3.5, the last 600 in 38.4, and Roc 'N' It clocked 1.6.6 and 38.2. Obrigado, in at Hawke's Bay (mdn 1650m), left 800m behind in 51.5 and 38.2.Hawke's Bay entrant Rouge (mdn 3yo 1200m) had former northerner Simply Divine alongside over 800m in 54.1, the last 600 in 38.4.
