AWAPUNI TRACKWORK Tuesday, November 19 By RON GURNEY Heni and Prosecco, stablemates with Mike Breslin, plus Semper Magico and Original Gangster all stood out in track-work on the grass (dead-slow) at Awapuni this morning. Lincoln Hills and Lincoln's Gal took the time honours on the plough (good). On the No 1 grass, Heni and Prosecco used the No 1 grass and were paired over 1000m in 1.3.2, the last 600 in 36.8. They are nominated for Rangitikei on Saturday. Taranaki (Friday) runner Original Gangster, now trained by Peter Didham, skipped over a smart 1000m on his own in 1.2.9, the last 600 in 37 even, while Rangitikei maiden entrant Semper Magico came up with 1.3.1 and 37.1. Prince Turbo and Flying Surf were on terms throughout 1000m in 1.5.4, the last 600 in 37.1, and maiden Empower caught the eye galloping on his own in 1.5.2 and 37.9. All three are in at Rangitikei. Beefeater and Kapinos matched strides over 800m in 50.2, the last 600 in 37.2, and Obrigado did a quiet round and a half before galloping 800m in 50.4 and 38 even. Berry Delightful (Taranaki) did nice work over 1000m in 1.5.6, the last 600 in 38.1, and her un-raced four-year-old stablemate Jakkabella (by Jakkalberry) clocked 1.5.9 and 38.4. An Atlante filly with Mark Oulaghan ran 1000m in 1.9.4, the last 600 in 38.4, while Rangitikei runners Hypatia and Young Squire did a quiet round and a half before covering 800m in 52.1 and 39.6. Casino El Jay worked an even 800m in 52.9, the last 600 in 39.2. On the plough, Rangitikei prospects Lincoln Hills and Lincoln's Gal were paired over a bold 800m in 47.7, the last 600 in 36.1. Maiden gelding Free To Shine, who has paid a dividend in three of his five starts so far, and stablemate Love Potion ran 1000m in 1.2.6, the last 600 in 36.5. Ajay Lincoln, working in a shadow roll, and Brahmarahma covered 1000m in 1.3.2, the last 600 in 36.9, while their stablemates Rex Royale and Platinum Road recorded 1.4.6 and 37.4. Kellys Inspiration and Lincoln Star left 800m behind in 49.7, the last 600 in 37.4, and just a few minutes earlier Platinum Touch and Lincoln Fury posted 50.2 and 37.7. Higher Power had Rusty In Rongotea for a partner over 1000m in 1.6 even, the last 600 in 38.8, and Little Texas Sky, well beaten on debut last month, went alone in 1.7.9 and 38.4. Red Rufus (Rangitikei) and Den Bosch (Taranaki), who both debuted well at Feilding for trainer Peter Didham, ran 800m in 53.4, the last 600 in 38.1. Master Lincoln was kept to 800m in 57 even, the last 600 in 40.7, while a Ferlax gelding and an Alamosa filly, both with Deborah Parry, sprinted 600m in 40.1. My Calendar Girl was timed 55.2 for 800m, the last 600 in 41.2, while Queen Kamada and Teddy Bear were kept to 1000m in 1.12.2 and 42.2.
