A top days racing this weekend at Hawera where they have carded some very good feilds for Taranaki Breeders Stakes day

FRENCH SERGE (Trainer Royden Bergerson) resumes in the first of the day a Maiden 1600m. He has had two trials to prepare winning the most recent one at Foxton. The last run of his previous campaign is the best guide to his chances. That day he ran home well for second behind Allmosta at Awapuni over the 1550m. In the first he meets a moderate line up and is capable of a winning run fresh up. Masa Tanaka will ride.

HEAVENS KEEP (Trainer Lucy Tanner) was good when reusming at Wanganui and running fourth behind Scapolo over the 1200m. He then stepped up to the 1400m and fought on bravely for fifth behind Deals In Heels after being caught three wide in the running. In the third on Saturday he meets a very even line up over the 1400m but it is a race well within his grasp. Shaun McKay will ride inthe

KEEP IT SAVVY (Trainer Lisa Latta) in the last of the day and has the outside barrier draw over the 1400m. However this could be the place to be on this track by that time. He was freshened up before his last start for second at Taranaki. That was over the  1300m and he will be better for that outing. His previous form was solid with his Maiden win coming at Awapuni over the 1400m.
