Belle's Echo and Love Tania were the star workers during a quiet gallop session at Awapuni this morning.

Fast work was held on the plough or synthetic track, with just one Taranaki entrant involved.

Belle's Echo and Love Tania used the plough and covered 800m together in 49.8, the last 600 in 36.1.

Unraced two-year-old geldings Mr Miyagi (by Staphanos) and Prostatic (by Proisir) ran 800m in 54.1, the last 600 in 36.3., and they are trained by Lisa Latta.

Taranaki entrant Pleasing (by Russian Revolution) had an Alamosa filly for company over 800m in 56.9, the last 600 in 41.7. Pleasing has good form at the jump-outs and trials going into her debut for Saturday's juvenile event.

Unraced two-year-old colt Optimus Prime (by U S Navy Flag) and a Darci Brahma filly were timed 800m in 59.2, the last 600 in 41.4, and they are in the Latta barn.

Jack Morrison and a Shocking mare did two quiet rounds, ending with 600m in 42.7.

On the synthetic track, a Vespa gelding and a Darci Brahma gelding sprinted 600m in 39.8.

Three-year-old filly French Doll and unraced four-year-old Shirley Temple (by Vespa) were paired over 800m in 56.7, the last 600 in 40.2. All four are trained by Mike Breslin.
