Last-start Boxing Day winner Inmyshadow looked on top of his game when he galloped boldly at Awapuni this morning.

The majority of fast work was held on the plough (good), where Inmyshadow went on his own over a quiet round before galloping 1000m in 1.4.4, the last 600 in 36.9. Back-to-wins are on the cards.

Lincoln Raider and Platinum Rapper were paired over 1000m, being timed the final 800m in 50.3, the last 600 in 36.7, while their stablemates Mormaire and Passione were almost identical with 50.8 and 36.7.

Cage Phyta, who appears to be improving each week, ran 800m in 50.6, the last 600 in 37.2, and Sea Monarch had last-start winner Raffle for company in 51 even and 37.7.

Lincoln Rocks (by Road To Rock) and Lincoln The Fox (by Tarzino), both unplaced on debut, left 800m behind in 51.3, the last 600 in 37.7, while Dedoje and Casino El Jay took 51.5 and 37.8 after doing a quiet round and a half beforehand.

Putorino, trained by Roydon Bergerson, and Jessie’s Rock (Peter Didham) were on terms throughout a nice 1000m in 1.5.3, the last 600 in 38.5, and Rischio went 800m alone in 51.7 and 38.8.

Nod Of The Head and Belclare covered 1000m in 1.6.8, coming the final 800m in 51.9, the last 600 in 38.4. Shadows Cast followed soon after with 1.6.8 as well. His sectionals were 52 even and 38 even.

Reine D’Amour and Sacred Pearl matched strides over 800m in 53.7, the last 600 in 39.2, and Princess Ani clocked 54.6 and 39.3 on her own. Parisian Poppy and Albufeira took 55 even and 39.2.

Tweedledee had Chris Dell in the saddle over 1000m in 1.9.1, the last 600 in 40.1, and Odysseus came up with 1.10.3 and 40.7.

Unraced St John (by Alamosa) was timed 800m in 54 even, the last 600 in 40.1, and Almeraki took 54.9 and 40.7.

King Of Awl and unraced Beautiful Noise (by Tavistock) required 55.4 and 40 even for their 800m, while Pleasure and Karaka Million entrant Kana (by Tivaci) posted 56.4 and 40.8. Kana was impressive winning on debut at Manawatu.

Quatromosa ran an even 1000m in 1.10.7 the last 600 in 41.2, while Wind In My Wings did a round and a half before galloping 800m in 53.8 and 41.

Silver Eagle (by Vespa) and Mazzini (by Turn Me Loose), both unplaced on debut, ran 800m in 56.5, the last 600 in 41.3, and Barzetti went alone in 56.6 and 41.2.

On the course proper, impressive two-year-old winner Diss Is Dramatic, in the Karaka Million on Saturday week, and stablemate Knickerless went 800m reverse (right-handed), the last 600 in 38.6.
