Bold Belle on the synthetic track and Cheval de Foudre on the plough were in outstanding form at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.

Bold Belle had trainer Bryce Newman in the saddle when galloping boldly over 1000m in 46.1, the last 600 in 34.3.

Two Foxton trial wins preceded a close second fresh up at Trentham last month and she is well and truly ready to go one better at the same venue on Friday.

Her stablemates Velton and unraced three-year-old filly Pistachio (by Tivaci) lost no kudos with 800m together in 47.6, the last 600 in 34.7. 

Velton has not raced since winning fresh up at Taupo six weeks ago, but is ready to carry on the good work at the next level on Friday.

Sugah Sweet covered 1000m in 1.1.6, the last 600 in 35.4, and it would pay to forget the form on paper. She is ready to bloom in the short term.

Last-start Trentham maiden winner My Alibi and Wairakei Queen were paired over 800m in 48.5, the last 600 in 35.9, while Treat Yourself and Blue Jeanie took 49.1 and 36.2. Treat Yourself is improving all the time.

Treat Yourself will have the side winkers taken off on Friday to be replaced by blinkers, and Blue Jeanie will wear side winkers for the first time. 

Durham Lad worked alone over 800m in 51.4, the last 600 in 38.1, and his stablemate Sotirio was very keen in his gallop, though well held, over 1000m in 1.9.2 and 39.4.

A Time Test filly and an Ardrossan filly, three-year-olds with Roydon Bergerson, ran 800m in  57.4, the last 600 in 39.7.

On the plough, last-start winner Cheval de Foudre made light work of 1000m in 59 seconds even, the last 600 in 35.4, and should put back-to-back wins together at Trentham on Friday.

Lemaitre, another last-start winner, breezed over 1000m in 1.2.6, the last 600 in 35.8, giving every indication he can carry on the good work.

Lynx, not seen since racing June, ran 1000m in 1.3.3, the last 600 in 35.3, and Whatsinyourwallet, a solid third placing fresh up at Otaki last month, clocked 1.2.2 and 36.1.

Last-start Trentham winner Popsagoosey, left 1000m behind in 1.4.3, the last 600 in 36.4, while Croix De Guerre, second on debut, and Hurry Home posted 1.4.9 and 37.3.

Rocking Light was sent 1000m in 1.4.8, the last 600 in 38 seconds even, followed soon after by Share Power and Tokyodome, who ended with 600m in 37.8.

Dapper Dan and Thirsty were kept to 1000m in 1.8.4, the last 600 in 39.2, while their stablemates Colorado Star and Shirley Temple required 1.9.5 and 39.6.

Poppy's Girl and Graham's Pride stayed together over 800m in 54.6, the last 600 in 39.2, with Sevenayes and Pepeha taking 56.6 and 39.3.
