Final Chapter and Super Gold did not set the world alight in separate gallops at Awapuni on Tuesday morning, but certainly earned admirers for up-coming assignments.

Fast work was held on the plough or on the synthetic track.

Final Chapter, a half-brother to Authentic Paddy, used the plough and galloped alone over 1000m in 1.6.5, the last 600 in 38.8. He is in solid form and, though only fourth of six last time out, the tempo of that race did not suit.

His maiden stablemate Fawke Lightning, back from a short break, ran 800m in 53.4, the last 600 in 38.6.

Satsuki (by Staphanos) and a Redwood filly posted 53.7 and 38.1, while Abadia (by Swiss Ace) and Platinum Tyche (by Redwood) ended with 38.3. These four are from the Lisa Latta barn as well.

Super Gold, improving all the time, ran a quiet round before speeding up to run 1000m in 1.5.7, the last 600 in 39 seconds even. He looks a definite winning chance at Woodville on Sunday.

Rev It Up Rusty was timed 800m in 56.2, the last 600 in 40.5, and his stablemates Hank Smith, not seen since February, and unraced three-year-old Kids Got Gears (by Magnus) clocked 56.4 and 40 seconds even.

Unraced filly Platinum Goddess (by Alpine Eagle) and unraced gelding Prostatic (by Proisir), three-year-olds trained by Lisa Latta, ran 800m in 56.7, the last 600 in 41.5.

On the synthetic track, Woodville entries Thirsty and Hips Don't Lie were paired over 800m in 52 seconds even, the last 600 in 38.8, while Turn It Up (by Tivaci), another for Sunday, and unraced Testing (by Time Test) ended with 38.1. Craftsman (by Alamosa) recorded 53.1 and 38.7.

Call A Friend, entered for Woodville, and Papa Surf went together over 800m in 53.5, the last 600 in 39.4, while Hasbulla and last-start winner Havarti took 54.9 and 39.1.

Queen Of Spades and Town Cryer were not chasing the clock over 1000m in 1.11.3, with the final 800m taking 53.6, the last 600 in 40.6.

Unraced three-year-old fillies Ocean Melody and Golden Lining, both by Ocean Park, covered 1000m in 1.10.6, the last 600 in 40.4, and are trained by Lisa Latta.

Unraced three-year-old geldings Agent Black Hand (by Vadamos), Reservoir (by El Roca) and Wingman (by Swiss Ace), went together over 800m in 56.9, the last 600 in 41.2. They are with Roydon Bergerson.

Bradman was kept to 800m in 58.7, the last 600 in 42.1, while Rushin Home and a Bivouac filly sprinted 600m in 43.9.
