Maiden mare Identikit, trained by Lisa Latta, was in fine form at Awapuni this morning.

Fast work was held on the plough or the synthetic track.

Indentikit used the plough and covered 1000m in 1.5.5, the last 600 in 37.7, emphasising that she has come ahead in leaps and bounds since her close second on the synthetic track two weeks ago.

The Ocean Park four-year-old stepped up from 1600 to 2140 metres last start, and there is a good chance she will return to race on the synthetic track on Sunday week.

Her stablemate Benefactor, freshened since racing in June, caught the eye as well, being timed 800m in 50.4, the last 600 in 36.1.

Unraced four-year-old mare Fou The Noo (by Alamosa) and unraced three-year-old gelding Kosta (by War Decree) ran 800m in 54.9, the last 600 in 40.3. They are with Mike Breslin.

On the synthetic track, unraced four-year-old mare Treat Yourself (by Savabeel) and unraced three-year-old filly Only The Lonely (by Tivaci) ran 800m in 51.1, the last 600 in 36.8.

Their maiden stablemate Velton (by Headwater), not seen since May, skipped over 800m in 51.3, the last 600 in 36.7, and Lets All Boogie took 53.8 and 38.7.

Top mare Bold Belle sprinted 600m in 39.2, while an Ocean Park filly and a Microphone two-year-old clocked 39.3. All seven are trained by Bryce Newman.

Donnybrook, Showbastian Coe and French Doll all went together over 800m in 53 seconds even, the last 600 in 40.8, and Queen Of Spades did a quiet round and a half before sprinting home the last 600m in 41.1.

He's A Doozy, who resumes with a big weight in the open 1600m at Hastings, had Saturday's jockey Jonathan Riddell aboard over two quiet rounds.

The gelding had a 600m sprint at the end of each round in 40.3 and 38.8 respectively.
