Lincoln's Kruz on the plough and Durham Lad on the synthetic track were in great form at Awapuni on Tuesday morning, though fog prevented the timing of some gallops and hindered others.

Lincoln's Kruz, who races at the synthetic meeting on Thursday (R7 No.1), had Jonathan Riddell aboard when speeding over 1000m in 1.1.6, but fog prevented the timing of his last 600m.

It was similar circumstances with his stablemates Perfect Test and Love Janie, who ran 1000m in 1.2.5. They are entered for Wanganui.

Verardino, in on Thursday (R1 No.1), and Sacred Pearl, two more from the Latta barn, clocked 1.5.9.

Later in the session, after the fog had lifted, Make Time had Chris Dell in the saddle over 1000m in 1.8.2, the last 600 in 39.7. Sacred Pearl and Make Time are set to resume at Wanganui on Saturday.

Coney Island and a Darci Brahma mare were paired over 800m in 54.7, the last 600 in 40.8, and Wanganui runner Lady Performer covered 1000m in a quiet 1.14.8, the last 600 in 41.5. The latter's stablemate Off To The Nunnery ended with 600m in 43.2.

On the synthetic track, Durham Lad was timed 1000m in 1.9.3, the last 600 in 38.2, and the seven-year-old is making solid progress in a new campaign. He resumes on Saturday.

His stablemate Kawatiri, who flashed home for third at Trentham last start, covered 800m, the last 600 in 37.9, while Pleasing and French Doll ended with 37.8.

Thursday entrants Asahi (R6 No.6) went 1000m in 1.6.2, and Bubbajock (R4 No.2) recorded 1.7.2, but fog prevented the timing of their sectionals.

Showbastian Coe (R2 No.4) was one of the last to be timed and ran 1000m in an easy 1.9.6, the last 600 in 40.1, while his stablemates Craftsman and a Vespa gelding took 1.12.1 and 41.1.

Ruffhouse Rosie (R4 No.3) was another not searching for time, with 1000m in 1.16.8 and 43.4.

Share Power (R6 No.3) did 1000m in 1.12.2. Fog again prevented clocking the last 600m, as it did for unraced two-year-old Afterthought (by So You Think) and a War Decree gelding, both of whom are trained by Mike Breslin. They ran 800m in 58.6.
