Belle's Echo and Sacred Pearl were in fine touch on Tuesday morning as they prepared for the Hawke’s Bay meeting on Saturday.
Fast work was held on the plough or on the synthetic track.

Belle's Echo and Sacred Pearl used the plough and were paired over 1200m, being timed from the 1000m in 1.7.5, the last 600 in 38.8.

They could have easily gone quicker if asked the question, and are on song for the Poverty Bay Cup over 1600 metres.

Their stablemate and last-start winner Unscripted went alone over 1000m in 1.7.7, the last 600 in 38.3, and she too looks capable of extending her winning form at Otaki on Friday.

Jack Morrison covered 1000m in 1.7.4, the last 600 in 38.7, and Watchyawallet, trained by Stephen Mercer, did well to clock 1.8.1 and 38.1.

Unraced two-year-old fillies Golden Lining (by Ocean Park) and Thrilling (by Shocking) were timed 1000m in 1.9.7, the last 600 in 38.8. They are with Lisa Latta.

Final Chapter and Lynx, likely runners for Otaki, left 1000m behind in 1.7.2, the last 600 in 39.3, and hurdler Super Spirit recorded 1.7.8 and 39.7.

Nun So Bad and unraced three-year-old Tokyodome (by Mulaazem) were on terms over 1000m in 1.10.2, the last 600 in 39.2. Tokyodome, down to debut at Otaki, is trained  by Deborah Parry.

Kahu Rock, now trained by the Fannin-Schofer partnership, ran 800m in 55.7, the last 600 in 39.4. He goes to Otaki.

Unraced two-year-old colt Coulthard (by Redwood), trained by Lisa Latta, gathered speed from the 1000m (1.13.2) to finish with 600m in 39.1.

Oxygen, who fell at Woodville last start, did a quiet round before galloping 1000m in 1.8.9, the last 600 in 40.1.

Ruffhouse Rosie had Reprobate for a partner over 1000m in 1.12.3, the last 600 in 40.5, and Lovehelen went 1.12.9 and 41.8.

Unraced three-year-old Identikit (by Ocean Park) and unraced two-year-old Rithim (by Time Test) sprinted 600m in 40.4. They are fillies trained by Lisa Latta.

On the synthetic track, Donnybrook and French Doll stayed together over 1000m in 1.7.2, the last 600 in 38.4. Off To The Nunnery and unraced two-year-old Void (by Belardo) covered 800m in 53.6, the last 600 in 38.9, and they are trained by Lydia Pickford.

Durham Lad ran 800m in 54.8, the last 600 in 39.7, while his stablemate Sotirio was timed 1000m in 1.11.5 and 41.1.

Papa Surf was kept to 800m in 57.9, the last 600 in 42.2, and his stablemate Call A Friend, back from a spell, ended with 600m in 43.9.
