Meglio Di Falcrest is ready for her first race on the synthetic track this Friday, judging by her bold gallop at Awapuni on Tuesday morning.

All fast work was held on the synthetic track, where Meglio Di Falcrest did a quiet round before speeding up on the second circuit to run 1000m in 1.1.2, the last 600 in 35.5.

The six-year-old mare, who has won six races and added 13 placings back to fourth, is in top form again, and further success looms large.

Lincoln Towers and Good Craic, both on song to clear maidens on Friday, were paired over 800m in 48 seconds even, the last 600 in 35.6.

Almalane (mdn 1400m) and Moon Money (r65 1200m) were on terms throughout 1000m in 1.8.1, the last 600 in 36.1. Almalane finished third at Hawera last start with the blinkers on first time.

Last-start winner Kawatiri, who led all the way at Otaki, skipped over 800m in 49.6, the last 600 in 36.2, and Queen Of Spades took 50.6 and 37.6.

Platinum Sixty Six (r65 2140m) was another to work alone, covering 1000m in 1.7.2, the last 600 in 37.8, while Smokin Mo did a quiet round before his 1000m in 1.8.2 and 37.5.

Crouch and Nun So Bad matched strides over 1000m in 1.10.5, the last 600 in 37.2, followed soon after by Final Chapter and Betukhan, who went more evenly in 1.5.8 and 38.2. Betukhan races on Friday.

Promising two-year-old Pleasing, in on Friday, worked alone over 1000m in 1.10.2, the last 600 in 38.1, while her stablemates Donnybrook and French Doll were at a good clip early over the same distance in 1.5.7, easing to finish with 600m in 39.1.

Midaswellbjack (mdn 1400m) and unraced three-year-old filly Kalinya (by Staphanos) did a quiet round before galloping 1000m in 1.7.5, the last 600 in 39.3.

Showbastian Coe, boasting two successive wins (1000m) on the synthetic track, ran 1000m in 1.11.3, the last 600 in 39.8, and will seek a hat-trick on Friday (r65 1200m).

Gum Basher (r75 1400m), who has recorded two wins of his own on the synthetic track, and three-year-old filly Korolova (mdn 1200m) were kept to 800m in 55.1, the last 600 in 40.2. Barzetti clocked 56.1 and 41.3, and Durham Lad posted 57.6 and 41.8.
